Introduce a new character who slowly gets closer to the main characters before it becomes clear to them that the writer is writing a comedy with your characters as the inspiration for the comedy.

Bonus points if

  • the writing highlights a secret the protagonists need to learn
  • the writing causes one or more characters to realise they need to change
  • all the characters love the comedy and chose to perform it as a play
  • one or more characters read things said about them and that causes a fight
  • the characters are confused by an extra character in the comedy
