Have one character tell another that a third character has a crush on them. Have them explain in great detail why they think they are right. Allow the second character to mull over how they feel about having a not-so-secret admirer. Then have them start to doubt – the two characters conversing now debate if the third character does or does not have a crush.

Have said third character walk in on this conversation. Show the two debating characters back-peddle and try to invent a conversation they can claim to be having.

For added mileage, have a mild falling out occur between two of the characters over this. Fix the situation by having a fourth character mediate the conflict so everyone ends up friends again.
