After a solid six months of doing little else other than searching for the Curse Breaker, Colin Blaze is broke, tired, and despondent. The rent is due so Blaze needs cash fast.
That was when the letter arrived.
The letter claimed to be from a rhinoceros called Kimble Akkerman the Third. Kimble is incarcerated at the London Zoo but insists that he is an innocent rhinoceros. The letter begs Blaze to help him leave the zoo and get home to his family. Kimble does not have any money of his own but he insists that his family is well connected.
With nothing better to do, Blaze takes the case.
Colin Blaze is a (possibly private) detective cursed by a witch to have only cases that no right-thinking person would ever believe were real. The witch hoped that Blaze would be discredited and forced to quit. Instead, Blaze is the champion of the bizarre and marginalised oddities of London.
