When humanity first joined the Galactic Council it was seen as one of the great moments in history. There were a few rules to follow but they were all quite reasonable and largely things no one wanted to do anyway.
Nineteen years later, that same rule book is 356% thicker. This is almost entirely due to humans. Humans do things that the rest of the galactic community thought too obvious to require a rule for. As there were no rules saying not to do these things, humans went ahead and did them.
Their response, when questioned afterwards, was always the same, “there’s no rule saying not to do that.”
Today the Galactic Council is preparing to draft their most comprehensive set of rules yet. Mostly because of humans.
