The courts have sentenced a man to be executed based on the indisputable evidence of the court AI. An AI that has never been wrong. At least never been proven wrong.
A newly promoted police detective has doubts about the man’s conviction. The detective knows that convincing the AI to reconsider will be punishingly hard but this would be nothing like trying to convince the court that the AI was wrong this time.
Working on this case after hours, the detective has little to go on. Yet things do not quite add up. The detective knows that there are pro-AI and anti-AI factions that may complicate the investigation. Not to mention a precinct filled sceptical officers.
Can the case be solved before the man is executed?
