Soldiers from an alternative history have started pushing through into our world. They are the first wave of an invasion sent by the fascist world leader of The Gloriouse Empire of Man.
So far, the invasion has gone unnoticed. It seems it takes great effort to send a soldier through. The invaders seem to be getting better at it though.
To make matters worse, a dotty old lady keeps trying to get Blaze to meet with someone named Eve Fortuna.
Colin Blaze is a (possibly private) detective cursed by a witch to have only cases that no right-thinking person would ever believe were real. The witch hoped that Blaze would be discredited and forced to quit. Instead, Blaze is the champion of the bizarre and marginalised oddities of London.
